A credit to Community

This blog was written by one of our members anonymously.

I wrote this to thank Community for all the support provided by Regional Organiser (North) Matt Cooke.

Matt has helped me massively in a number of meetings I’ve had to deal with at my workplace.

Not only is he very professional and knowledgeable, but he comes across as friendly, down to earth and approachable. He instils confidence and trust, and keeps in regular contact, as well as supporting members at meetings, ensuring things are done correctly.

Matt is a credit to Community, and I can honestly say I feel his hard work, knowledge and genuine care for his job deserve to be recognised.

He has also inspired me to think about taking on a union Rep role.

Interested in getting involved in Community’s work?

Community Reps are the backbone of our union – they’re on the ground supporting our members at work with issues in the workplaceequalitieshealth and safety, and more. Take a look the different Rep roles available here.
