For Justice Worker Week, we are interviewing Community members on the frontline to hear about their experiences and the difference they make.
In our first interview, we hear from Community NEC member and justice worker Christopher Knight.
What’s your name and where do you work?
I’m Christopher Knight. I’ve worked in the justice sector for over eight years.
How do you make a difference in your job?
I make a difference in rehabilitation. A lot of people come to prison, they need help and I’m there to help support them and rehabilitate them back into society so they can live a good and peaceful life.
How does that make you feel?
When a prisoner leaves prison and goes back into society and changes their life alone, that makes me feel wonderful knowing that they’re being rehabilitated and now they can have a peaceful life and won’t go back into crime and violence.
