Accessibility at work

A graphic featuring several disabled workers, with text that reads "accessibility at work".

Accessibility is all about removing the barriers disabled people experience to ensure they can actively be involved at work and aren’t disadvantaged in any way while undertaking their duties.

Because of this, employers have a responsibility to ensure their workplace, and the way the workplace operates is accessible to as many people as possible. Where possible, they should also make reasonable adjustments for employees and job applicants with disabilities.

Now, more than ever, it is important for employers to recognise the importance of inclusivity and the positive impact it brings. By making the workplace more accessible, it will increase employee morale, productivity, and show that the workplace is diverse and inclusive of people with disabilities.

The below guidance outlines your legal rights with accessibility in the workplace, the importance of accessibility and how you can help to create an inclusive workplace culture around disability awareness and accessibility.
